It becomes quite apparent after reading the answers given before, that the disunity and disagreement over the Sabbath in the Body of Jesus Christ, has arisen through lack of knowledge by both well meaning but also degenerate leaders. Both Jesus and Paul had the custom to keep the Sabbath Day and we are told that we should walk as He walked. It would follow that the other disciples had the same custom. This must not be construed wrongly, Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath in every respect, but made it quite clear that the Sabbath was created for man. He fulfilled the requirements of the Sabbath completely and willed this justification to us in the New Testament (His Will). We therefore need not "Keep" the Sabbath for justification but rather to “acknowledge or honour” the PLAN OF GOD THE CREATOR and respect HIS day. We are then assured of the creator God we serve and that we have truly, entered into His rest. In 324AD Constantine in an endeavour to allow the Christians to be recognised, made Christianity the National religion. However this combining of Church and state led to the rejection of all things Jewish, including the Sabbath Day which existed at the beginning of creation long before God gave it to the Israelites. This action possibly caused the beginning the anti-semetic feelings in Europe today. Christians are free from the curse (death penalty) of the Law through the sacrifice of Christ. But the blessings have to be received from the Word of God and acted upon: James 1:22  But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. This is in accordance with Ephesians 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: This is because Jesus the Living Word from God, taught us the deeper spiritual meaning of Gods Word. He also showed the wisdom of “The Way” of life to us ordained from the beginning of creation. Christians are free to worship God on any day of the week, and should not criticize their brethren. This applies to everyone. Albeit it is incorrect to say that Sunday is the Sabbath (seventh day) when it is the first day of the week!. People who believe they must keep it as a "works" condition for salvation will receive further enlightenment at Gods pleasure. There is a blessing to be received on the true Sabbath Day. All born again Christians have Jesus Christ dwelling within them and they have now entered the Sabbath rest of God. To meet with God on the Sabbath day in prayer and worship holds the blessing of the creator, because well before the Jewish nation or Abraham God Himself put a blessing in the day. Genesis 2:3  And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. On the Sabbath, after a working week, I make time to have my grand children visit and I am richly blessed. God is spending time with His grand children every Sabbath. Be with God at the right time and you will receive a blessing too! The Sabbath blessing can only be received by honouring the Sabbath, then we affirm that the creator God is our God through Jesus Christ.
